CAUTION!!!!!!!!!
The city of Knoxville has changed the direction of some streets around Market Square, so streets that were previously one way are now two way, so please, make it a habit to look BOTH ways while driving, and especially if you’re walking, before crossing a street.Grab a map and read the details before you head out on the town right here.

I’ve updated the web site, and I’ve added every place I can find that participates in First Friday in town, so if you could, pop in and take a look, and if you know of a place that I’ve missed, I’d appreciate a heads up. There’s places that participate that I never heard of, so I’ve discovered some new places to visit next time I’m out and about. Like Coffee and Chocolate.. mmmm.. chocolate…
Also, if you know any artists in the Knoxville area, send them over, as I’m setting up a section for artists to be listed as well.
Now you can go to ONE web site that has links to ALL the places that participate on First Friday, with their address, phone number when I could find it, and a link to their web site if they have one.
I’ve had a LOT of good feedback from people on this so far, and I suspect it’s going to make life a lot easier for everyone involved. Ahh, I love it when a plan comes to together.

Just got back from my first opening in a real gallery, Three Flights Up, and it rocked.
I’m worn out and tired, but I talked shop with quite a few people that know what fractals are, which was a treat, and ran into some cool potential clients, so the whole night was filled with win.If you walked past this guy, you should have waved, I would have waved back.
LinkAll in all, a good opening night, the place was hopping. Sure beats opening nights of the past where the weather was nasty, tornado warnings one year, freezing cold rain the next. Tonight, it was just beautiful out, a perfect night to be out.
Bed.. yeah, it’s bed time.

First Friday info around here has been impossible to find. Web sites for the different galleries sometimes aren’t updated, even the web site for First Friday by the market square district has zero information. Being an artist, it’s frustrating not to be able to find out who even participates, aside from a few places on Market Square.
So, this is the first public announcement of a brand new web site I’ve built and launched. KnoxvilleFirstFriday.com
Eventually, it’ll have a place for local artists to be listed, as well as the different galleries that participate.
If there’s a business that participates that I don’t have listed, please use the contact form and drop me a note with the name, so I can add it. I still find it bizarre that you can’t find this info anywhere, so I took it upon myself to put this together.
Eventually, this town will finally have one place with everything you need to know about First Friday.
Spread the word- KnoxvilleFirstFriday.com
